The Things We Do For Love Blogs

Here is the ugliness. I have slept the entire day after a long, sleepless night. I got re-packed with clove. The dentist says he thinks the eye is an allergic reaction to something else, not related to

the tooth extraction. But I missed work and am missing our annual Fall Festival at church tonight, which my husband and daughter will be working at without me. And I'm typing with one eye shut, so now between exposing my face on the Internet and typing like a pirate, you know that I surely do love you, Internets. Thanks for praying for me. Have a great weekend.

Oh my word, Linda! That is nasty. I sure hope it's not the clove you're allergic to. Praying that clears right up. Hugs to you!!!

I am not so sure about this dentist's idea about it being non-related. Have you ever reacted to something like this before? I sure hope you are feeling better soon. Bless your heart. My eye did swell up like that once after being around hay, but that was it. It went away pretty quickly after some Benadryl.
Keep us posted! Still praying!

are you on antibiotics? If so, I'd wonder about that.. but like Melanie says... try some Benadryl.. it works great.. just know though.. you will probably sleep a lot... but hey.. who cares...

I'll send tooth prayers your way

Linda! I got so far behind here...I had to scroll down and read the beginnings of your problem...I am SO sorry you have to go through all this!
Yes, I will pray for you!
I do remember my eye swelling like this once because of something else...possibly allergies.

(((HUGS))) to you and please let us know how you're doing!

Oh No! All other things being stable, how can it NOT be related to the tooth?? Aah, the professionals.

For a home remedy, try steeping green tea bags, cool them and apply to the eyes. Works wonders for swelling from allergies and stress. (So does cucumber slices applied to the eyes!)

Soooooo sorry about all this. The whole tooth thing is horrible enough, but then to deal with face issues too! Not good at all! I'll be praying for you! You need to look and feel beautiful!

((((((Linda)))))) I surfed on over from The Preacher's Wife... and prayed for you. No fun. I'd say it's related to the tooth too. Feel better!

God bless you! You are one committed blogger! Here you are in pain and miserable and yet you find time to update us. OK! I have to start posting more... How do you do it?
I hope you are better soon and by the next post you are telling us how good it is to feel good again!

Oh my gosh. And you probably can't eat chocolate right now, when you need it the most! Would an I.V work?

I'm so sorry!

I work for an eye dr.... call one pronto (no urgent cares or er's though). Sorry, I've seen some other docs mis-diagnose and make things worse....It may be nothin' or it may be something, but it's best to be on the safe side!! Feel better!

I also hope you have made an appt. with an eye doctor. . .I've had everything from fever blisters IN MY EYE (YES, that can happen) to allergic conjunctivitis--so get thee hence.

After you go to the eye doctor. REST. I am so sorry that this has waylaid you. I'm stroking your hair as I type.

Linda,
Thank you for visiting Ponderings from the Path, and your very kind comments.

I had hoped to check in today and see a "normal eye" picture because that would mean you are better. I'll check in later tonight. I'm still praying for you.
