I love '70's songs. I'm totally stuck in that music era. I don't think I could even list 13, I liked and still like so many of them.

Can you believe the radio DJ's call them oldies? Not in my book they're not!

Oh my goodness. There were to many!
I myself was in junior high and high school in the 70's, graduating in 1975.

My very favorite song was:
"These Eyes" by Guess Who

But of course I loved anything by the Beetles, and I had to have me some KC & the Sunshine Band of course, as well as Earth Wind and Fire, The Bee Jee's, Kool and the Gang. Oh, one of my favorite albums was Sly and the Family Stone. Now those years were years of GREAT music!

Love the pictures, Linda!

I had the long hair too. Did you put yours on top of your head in a rubber band and use a rinsed out, hollow orange juice can to roll the hair? That was the craze.

Oh the memories!

Blessings,
Julie

You are so young! I'm stuck in the 50's and 60's. Hardly know anything from then on.
Well, guess I do know "Locomotion" (thought that was in the 60's though) and "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" and maybe "Still the One"... can you sing a little of that one for me?
Love the pictures...

I feel so YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!

I hit teen years in the 80's

Although, I did love Cat Stevens, Bread, Peter Frampton, CCR, and my all time favorite: Janis singing Me and Bobby Mcgee.

I was born in '73, but I've got a big sis who's probably about your age, so I was definitely exposed to all of these. Especially the Bee Gees.

Great list. And great pictures, LOL!

Okay I was born in '72, so I know most of these songs. Great list! My brother and I always sang Don't Bring Me Down. When we were kids we also thought "Shake Shake Shake...Shake Shake Shake...Shake your bootie...shake your bootie" was "Shake your boobies." We'd laugh and laugh when that one would come on the radio.

Ann said...

oops! did that upset you? I'm sorry! You can totally delete it, I won't be mad.

What? No Donny Osmond songs? Pffft, some list. LOL!

You know, I just remembered another song from the 70's that I have memories connected to. I don't know the title, but the chorus goes, "Ooh Ooh Ooh Oooooh, Jackie Blue"

I remember it because of my grandpa. He was a very quiet man, I don't remember really ever having a conversation with him, but I do remember just sitting on the front steps eating those pink, brown, and white coconut chews and black licorice that he loved. I remember the radio being plugged in outside and that song was on. Everytime afterward when I'd hear that song, I would think about sitting on the steps with my grandpa. He died about 10 years ago. I wish I would have known him better.

Oh, I am so late getting over here! No.s 4 and 6 are my all time favorites. I dig dig dig 70's songs. Is "dig" still another word for "love", or has the slang changed and I've just cursed?
