Cafe Chat Asks:

If you could have a conversation over dinner with any one person, dead or alive, with the exception of Jesus, who would it be and why?

Erma Bombeck. She's my writing hero. No one was like her before she came on the scene, and since she's been gone, no one comes close to filling the void.

Interesting choice Linda! I'm quite curious how she is your writing hero? But I do agree, there is no one like her! Thanks for paying tribute to her with a
nice photo and choosing her!

Amy Grant. I just really believe we were meant to be best friends, but time and circumstance separated us from our destiny.

Also I'd really like to know the scoop on what went wrong with her and Gary.

She was a classy lady!

I agree about her writing. I miss not having anything recent from her. Sigh. Maybe you will be the next Erma. Keep up the writing!

OH! I LOVE Erma Bombeck.
I would probably pick Annie Herring...have seen her in concert but have always wanted to talk with her.

OH...and btw, I posted a pic of my hair...sorry it took so long!

Well I can never pick just one, so I would say dead - Paul, alive-Kay Arthur!

Me too, Linda....I started reading Erma Bombeck books when I was a teenager (my parents thought I was weird).:) Just kidding!

I loved her so much....She found humor in every situation from the mundane to the serious.

God Bless,
Amy:)

I would have to agree with you here. Her books can still make me laugh out loud.

I would give my eye teeth to be able to write comedy like she did.

Great choice...now, off to bed, but first to find my Erma Bombeck book to read tonight.

Blessings, Joanne

I googled Erma cause the name didn't ring a bell and spent the next hour laughing. Then I saw her books and know they are in a box in the depths of my attic from mums library. Im off the dig them out ... (send a search party if I don't come back). Thanks for the prompt.
