Well that was a LOVELY place to stay. Hope you enjoyed it--and that the weather was good.
Ohmygoodness...I wanna go, I wanna go! How incredibly beautiful...and I love your chalet. I love when people share their pics. YOU needed to be in some of them, though..rockin' that new haircut!
That cabin is just gorgeous!! Linda, did you know that often when you are putting off writing, it means there is a thought or two marinating in your mind. I find that sometimes I am really thinking of stuff and "writing in my head"....then suddenly I find it easier to commit it all to paper. It's how I roll. Maybe it's how you do too. Hugs, susan
What a lovely place to have a holiday. It looks so beautiful and relaxing. Totally up my alley. Hope you had a refreshing and fun time.
We are vacationing in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area this summer too in a cabin that looks remarkably like the one in your pictures! I'd love to hear your suggestions for restaurants, fun stuff to do, etc. Because I know you have nothing else to do besides help me plan our vacation. It's not like you're prepping for a big conference or anything.
What a fun video slide show! Thanks! Glad you're home safely
Looks like you had a great time, that chalet is gorgeous!!
Looks like a beautiful place to stay. What a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your family. Welcome back!
Loved the slideshow! Great pics. It looks beautiful out there. I'm glad you're home safe and sound!
Oh wow, I live just a couple hours south of there. Would have been fun to meet you. Isn't Ripley's so cool? Your chalet was gorgeous, you did good. =)Phyllis@AimlessConversation
OH WOW! What a beautiful place, inside and out!! I will have to look into this as a vacation option. There are so many wonderful places that I have no idea exist! Thank goodness for the internet. Until I can get there in person I can enjoy the pictures.I do know that I will be seeing North Carolina in a couple of weeks.....
Lovely pictures! Makes me homesick for the mountains (from KY). I'm sure as you drove back to Indiana you thought, "Wow! Indiana is incredibly flat!" I was always the one holding the camera, too, so I wouldn't be IN the pictures. That has begun to change as the kiddos have their own cameras and are stealthy photogs. So watch out! You'll end up finding yourself in more and more pictures. And that's not such a bad thing, as I'm beginning to see. We're visiting a cousin whose husband died very suddenly and unexpectedly and the joy we are getting from looking at pictures and sharing stories! My hubby turned to me at one point and said, "I want you to be more willing to let me take your picture." Ugh! I just feel I take awful pictures. But one day our kids and loved ones will want pictures of us -- whether we like it or not. Just sayin'.And I'm prayin' HARD that the writer's block will dissolve and you'll be able to write like "a house afire!"
Sounds like you're having fun!Mama Bear
Wow. That looks incredible. I could spend some serious time on that deck.Welcome back to reality. So is Zoe all atwitter with excitement that you are back? Similar to your son, I'm sure! LOL
Great pictures! Looks like you had a great time!God bless :)
Great photos. How did you get that fish to pose?Welcome home!
I forget just how beautiful the mountains are. When I'm there I get overwhelmed with this feeling of isolation and can't wait to get back to civilization. But looking at those pics gives me a hankerin' to see them thar hills agin!!
But did you finish your book proposal? And your pictures - no shark butts. :-)See you at She Speaks!
Glad you are home... glad you did not get eaten by bears...It looks beautiful and like you were having a good time - at least part of the time...
Of all the times we've spent a weekend in Gatlinburg, we've never stayed in a chalet. Looking at your pictures, I'm determined to remedy that. Hope you had as good a time as your pictures showed!
