Show Off Your Tree Day

Sweet Sara at Greetings from Butterville is hosting "Show Off Your Tree" day at her blog today. Go on over and check the bedecked trees out, and then link up and join the party.

This little table top number is an ode to the silver one from my childhood that I'm always whining over because I miss it in all of its glorious Charlie Brown silver and pastel Christmas tree lot days. You can see I found a skirt that goes with the new black and white wallpaper really well. It's actually cuter in real life, just like my dog.

And then, of course, this is our regular reasonable facsimile tree. Kind of like the consolation prize for those not enjoying real trees. We actually have a big ol' 9 1/2 ft tree, but it only fits into the middle of the vaulted ceiling, so I don't get it out every year. How about you? Want to show off your tree today? If so, go see Sara.

I realize the focus is supposed to be on the trees, but I LOVE your black and white wallpaper! And your trees are gorgeous, too!

hmmm, I have set out my metal chili pepper tree and a fake 10" tree. Charlie Brown is still outside waiting for a trimming before coming. This year will be less than normal decor. Ahhh, less pickup later :)

I like your trees! Glad you shared!

Your trees are beautiful. I need to put something else around my tree to make it more festive. I only have my lights and ornaments. Have a good evening.

The little one is very stylish actually. I was tempted to get a white one this year. I love the big tree too. It looks so festive with all the garlands. Very nice.

That little black and silver number is adorable! What a great touch. And I love your serious concentration as you take the picture! LOL

My aunt & uncle had a silver tree with the color wheel when I was growing up.

Your big tree is gorgeous. We finally got our tree and got the lights on. Now the kids can maybe get the ornaments on. Except tonight's a choir concert. And tomorrow night's youth group. We might have it decorated by Christmas!

I stopped by to admire your tree. I had to laugh because I also have a huge artificial tree that goes perfectly in my living room with the cathedral ceilings. But I almost never put it up. Instead I use my smaller tree (well, not too small) in my family room with all the decorations I've accumulated over the years.

Big tree=beautiful! Little tree is cool! I love that the tree skirt goes with the wallpaper! And I can see the roof of your gingerbread house in the mirror!

Very pretty, Lid!

I wish I had more room because I would so do more than one tree. I bet your 9.5 foot one is absolutely gorgeous when you set it up!

question: are there as many ornaments in the hidden corner as there are on the front? i have my tree in the same position and, other than ribbon, totally ignore the back figuring no one can see it. i'm afraid there is a sad spiritual lesson behind that. but yours looks pretty decked out all the way around. gorgeous!

I like the little tree and how it coordinates with the room. I can't play along as my tree isn't up yet!! This is officially the LATEST EVER for it to get done.

I love your trees! This may be weird, but I'm curious about the picture next to your big tree. I can only see part of it and can't figure out what it is! LOL

I'll have to take a picture of my tree soon.

What a beautiful tree....I love how you did the ribbons and such! Did you use a regular ol' gingerbread recipe for you little men? And what about the icing?? Halp!
