Winter Storm Warning--Go To the Walmarts Because It's ON, Baby

You might not hear from me tomorrow because we're supposed to get an ice stormy thing tonight and the weather men are about stroking out with excitement. So if I have the same post for three days, it's probably because electricity is out.

But not worry, because I made a trip to Wowmart to make sure my family survives the ice age of 2008. The last bad time we had was 2005, and I'm still emotionally scarred by that because we 'bout froze our tooshies off, and Zoe doesn't have much of a tooshie to freeze, so our goal the whole time was to keep her alive and then scrounge up stuff to eat.

Not this time, baby. I am locked and loaded with enough food to last us through Y2K-2008.

Just call me "old."

Anyway, not only did I get meat, milk and paper goods, I got the essentials:

Title this picture, "When love turns to obsession."

But looking at this, can you blame me?

Anyway, just wanted you to know, just in case.

I knew I forgot something at the grocery store today!! Our weather men are spazzin out as well due to a storm coming in tomorrow here. I went to the wholesale club and loaded up on goodies! I could feed an army for months.

Hope y'alls weather doesn't get too bad and maybe you could knit Zoe a tooshie warmer.

You look set! Reddi Whip ready! Maybe the power be with you!

You may have to be patient a little while longer. I'm 2 states west of you and we're supposed to get the same storm. It was supposed to get here at noon...then 4pm, now they are saying not until 8pm. I stocked up too but forgot the redi-whip. We have a tractor that can make it through anything. I'm sure hubby wouldn't mind driving 20 miles in that, especially when I tell him its for a necessity. LOL Stay warm!

After seeing that picture, now I feel like making hot cocoa! That little bit of chocolate whipped cream looks so yummy. I'll have to try a bit of both kinds next time. :)

Stay warm!

It's going to be in the 70s here the next couple of days...bleh. I wish I had a mug of that whipped goodness!

Reddi Whip comes in all different flavors?! Where have I been? (hmm, teaching up in the middle of nowhere and living overseas...obviously not shopping for Reddi Whip!) Wonder if I can talk Mr York in going to walmart during the worst snow storm ever to stock us up? Hmm, we're out of paper towels, too. I might have been good at creating a puppy potty maze/path outside in the snow, but I can't get them to always go outside! We need those paper towels!! I'm gonna go ask him right now! :)

You get the ice and we get the 13" of snow. Good times. I am so incredibly jealous of your reddi whip supply...you are my hero.

I want to get iced in at your house. What fun we'd have! We could take turns spraying each other in the mouth with Reddiwhip. LOL!

Glad to know you're not dumping us for Bambi. That would just be wrong.

I would never dump you for Bambi! (does she have a blog?)
Is that hot rum underneath all that wonderful whipped cream? Or is the mug just full of whipped cream. That'd be good, too.

Got my own two cans (it is just us two, one for each :)) in the fridge as well. We call it Pfffft
here in the mid-atlantic. At least at our house!

Happy storm! Hope you don't lose electricity!

You are cracking me up with the whipped cream in a can! Ha! It wouldn't last more than two days in my house. I'd just stand at the door to the fridge with my head cocked back in the "Reddi" position!

Thanks for stopping by today. The Pink Pig is just a department store novelty that has a big ol' gift shop. Hence, the three pigs we've got on our tree.

Have a wonderful Christmas and stay warm!

Well, clearly, if our power goes out I am coming to YOUR house. I may even fake it for a drink like that!!!

Oh yes, all the serious survival books recommend stocking up on whipped cream, right? Ha! Now you're READY Whip!!

so funny...my husband was always the same way when we lived in Texas in case any hurricanes were coming to knock us out!
but did you think about if the electricity goes out how all that meat and reddi whip would go bad?
though i gues you could always put it just outside your front door in the snow right?!

I know I wouldn't mind being cooped up in a winter storm as long as I had a supply like that! I could use the break! :-)

Merry Christmas, my friend. Stay warm!

Well, now that you've made known your stash, we'll all know where to come if the going gets tough. Who needs meat when you've got Reddi Whip?

I want chocolate whipped cream on my coffee too!!!! Can I come over and sit out the storm at your house?
