Project 365 Week 5, January 25-31

Photobucket

First of all, let me say I'm doing this at 11:30 pm Saturday night, and I just made it home in treacherous weather from a 16 year-old's birthday party held in the Oneighty building. So if this post is a little less coherent than the usual salmagundi, that's why.

Sunday, 1.25: Wore new jacket to church. Point of interest: $12:00, Kohls. And it makes me want to sing, "If you hear any noise, it ain't the boys; it's ladies' night."

Monday, 1.26: College daughter, Katie, on back of sled with roommate, Kelly. I stole this picture right off Facebook because what mother wouldn't.

Tuesday, 1.27: Planting the Alpha sign in our yard. No, "Alpha" does not mean we own/run the block, although Zoe certainly thinks she is the Alpha dog of the street and world.

Wednesday, 1.28: Girls Group birthday again! This time, it was my friend Madelyn's birthday. She received those ultra-cute reading glasses from another girl in the group. I don't need reading glasses yet, which is a miracle at 46, a miracle I like to point out to all of my friends who do need them. Oh come on. Let me have what little boasting I can gin up.

Thursday, 1.29: When I woke up, the thermometer outside our window said "1." Yes, one degree. I sit around with space heaters (heaven forbid "Amish Heaters") close enough to melt my skin to the furniture, but I still can't get warm. Those slippers are so sexy.

Friday, 1.30: Jorge brought me this from Dairy Queen so that my ankles could fatten up some more for those sexy slippers.

Saturday, 1.31: I went to my niece-to-be's bridal shower. I took her a surf board. jk! It's an ironing board. I'm sure every time she irons a piece of clothing for the next 50 years, she'll think of me fondly and bless the day I brought this homemaker's aid into her life.

Love this week's photos! And I've gotten many a good photo off someone else's facebook page! I mean, of me, of course.

Cute video!

Was that video directed at me? I mean are you telling me I am old?

Zoe may be the alpha dog but Mr. T is the alpha cat. And they both know it. You should have waited on that ironing board. Isn't that the 10th anniversary gift from the husband?

I want one of those Amish Heaters.

Looks like a great week! Agreed, I'd steal off FaceBook too, if kidlets didn't voluntarily hand it over.

PS Fab jacket!

Love the pics. How come the cute thing YOU got at Kohl's doesn't make you look pregnant, unlike my purple shirt? I have yet to wear it again!

And I too was smug about my lack of reading glasses. Until now. I just bought the very weakest version there is. Of course, my eyes aren't the problem. They just make medicine bottles and phone books with way too small of print!! LOL At least regular books are still fine.

Glad you explained Alpha.

And as I watched the video, I kept guessing: it's her son's birthday, someone's engaged, it's her anniversary, as each life event happened! LOL

Love the jacket. To me it says "Winter will not win! Spring will be here soon!" Maybe that's just my wishful thinking?

Oh and IMO what's on facebook is fair game...especially when it's involving children we suffered through childbirth with.

Great pictures, Lidna! :)
Thanks for the idea to steal the pictures from the kids' facebook. Especially on those days when I can't find anything photo worthy! And... I may need to have a sundae (of course, only for the picture), too! Your pictures are SO much fun!
Have a good week!
Love,
Angie

I don't know what I'm more jealous of: the totally cute jacket, the sexy slippers, or the sundae from DQ. I want them ALL!!!! LOL

My computer is super slow today so I'll have to come back and watch the video.

Have a GREAT week!

Kohl's I knew you were a woman after me own heart!!! And the ice cream thing, Jorge is the man

Well that is certainly one way of getting your niece to think of you! LOL.

I'm so glad to know I am not the only mother who has done that with facebook pics. Whew. But sorta scary when I think about everyone who can lift those things without you even knowing.

Wow, what a deal you got on that jacket. It's way cute! Love the pic of your daughter. Brings me back to my own college days...sigh.I agree with Dena, Facebook is definitely fair game lol!! Oh, and what's that Alpha sign all about?

1000 posts...wow!!

That jacket is the cutest. Kohls never disappoints if you are willing to dig.

One degree...thankfully we are saying goodbye to January and hello to short, somewhat warmer Feb!

Love your rocking Kohls jacket.

Kohls is my crack...I get into a lot of trouble at Kohls, because they carry great jewels, purses, SHOES, clothes, house stuff, cute sheets and bedding, kids stuff, dishes...the fun never ends at Kohls. Everything you need, except a snack..they really should open a snack bar, then I'd be all set.

Love the jacket on you...it looks kee-yoot! I would look like a water balloon in it, but you are adorable!

Your slippers are funny, but your comment about fattening up your ankles for those sexy slippers...priceless! lol

Surfboard...ha!

And the video is fun, too. And thought-provoking, hopefully!

ooohhh, cool. didn't realize that I was "live blogging"!
We should consider something like that. Like a chain of bloggers responding like an instant message!

I live in my slippers during the winter. I SO need a new pair. I like the sexy ones like that too. lol.

The ironing board kinda makes me laugh. I store mine under my bed. I pulled it out one day and my grandaughters didn't know what it was. My daughter has never owned one. Come to think of it, I needed to iron something for one of them.

Cute video.
