Mom, Can I Have a Drink of Water?

"This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won't lose out on a thing." Matt 10:41-42

When my husband was on a mission trip to Kenya, they had to cart in all their water. The local farmers laughed at them for their foolishness -- as their wives and children scooped water from a nearby stream that animals use...

...in 1867, my great-great grandmother and two of her children died in a cholera epidemic in Memphis, TN

...can't we share just a little bit of our wealth in this way?
