You are so stinkin funny! He is a hottie though... is it ok to say that about the future pres? ;-)
Oh my heavens, if I only had a time machine......
Yeah... that ole maverick was a hot ticket in his day!
Wow. What a difference a few decades make! Also...I like how you are Lidna instead of Linda. Kind of like how all last week when I was on pain pills, I was Gwednolyn. LOL
40 years ago, he was a hottie!! Goodness....
I think Rod likes Sarah, too. You should have seen how nervous he got for her during the debate.Should I be worried?
wow, now I know how he got the beautiful girl!!!!
I approve of the two of them.
Wow. And how old were you 40 years ago? :-)
This is great...and he was quite Mavericky back in the day.
Wowza! He was a hottie back in the day, and is still a handsome man, IMO. (I called Steve to get approval for this comment, LOL). For the record, I asked him if he thought Sarah Palin was pretty and he said, "She's not too hard on the eyes." So I approved his comment, too, hah hah! Go McCain/Palin! Fun post, Lidna!
He was hunky back then. Funny post
Woo wee Johnny! I have never seen that pic before, but I'm fully awake now! My husband just gushes when he talks about Sarah. It's cute. Have a great weekend...Go McCain/Palin! Lee
Oh I know I know girl. He is one fine Maverick, makes Tom Cruise's "Mav" lack a little in my opinion! :-) Not to mention this Maverick is SANE! lolI just think he is "darn cute". Hey something you said on another blog about labels and this term actually caused me to write something a few days ago called Branded and Labeled. See what you think, http://abidingbranch.blogspot.com/2008/10/branded-and-labeled-diary-of-anne-frank.htmlLove ya, tootles, Chel
I like Sarah! Ok, it's not a romantic thing... It's that she makes lookin' like a mom cool. My next eye appointment is gonna be at the big box eyeglasses store so I can look that cool.I've resisted the bifocal thing for too many years. After my optician said the next appointment was gonna be for bifocals...I kinda put it off, ummmm 7 years...fightin' that aging thing (I'm a growin' old maverick!! *wink*). I'm tired of lookin' like a granny over the top of reading glasses.I'm not kiddin' either... I've never looked forward to wearing glasses, but since I convinced Steve to let me get "Sarah" glasses, I'm all excited.Wait a minute... You don't think he wants me to have the glasses so he can think "Sarah" thoughts when he's kissin' me, do you?BTW, did ya notice my Tina Fey impression, droppin' all the g's 'n all?
Lidna, I Ken Lee you! You crack me up!!!
I have to agree with your husband. I get all googly eyed when I see her. And she hunts too. :)
I just totally laughed out loud...I couldn't help it. This is just hilarious. And yes...he is lookin' fine here.
You crack me up!!!Yep, he definitely has the babe factor going on in that picture!Come over if you can and help me wish my own maverick babe Happy Birthday...:)
HA! Love it.He was pretty cute back in the day ;)
yup, and his determination FOR HIS COUNTRY outweighs his maverickishness...new word!!WAKE UP america...vote someone who TRULY cares about America!I dated a maverick for a while and their intense love of this country is forever...and they'll die for it if they have to!
I would never have guessed that was John McCain. Not bad. Kind of gross those thinking of him now. He's grampa age for me. But, hey, I'm not voting on looks anyway, am I?I like Sarah and her cute winks.
Duty, honor, country. What is not to love??? And I heart older men anyway. (Did you know my husband is 24 yrs older than I am? The secret is out!)
Oh yea, he definitely WAS hot!
Sheesh, I guess if he still looked like THAT, he'd REALLY be giving Obama's pretty smile a run for his money! Because then he'd have the plan, the brains, the courage, AND the looks too (which seems to be SO important in too many people's eyes!)Cute post, my friend!
Clinton and John what's-his-face will now be all jealous. THEY aren't maverick-y looking!!
You all are so funny...but yep, according to my youngest daughter-in-law, McCain was a hottie:-)
He was a babe back then! Did you see that Sarah Palin is going to do a cameo on SNL tomorrow night? I bet Tina Fey will be on there with her.
John McHottie!I thought the same thing! By the way...you have an award on my blog!! Check my 10/17 post :)
My friends, He's looking mighty fine there. Maybe "maverick" is the word, my friends. . .Good investigative work, Lid!
I'm on the laptop in bed with DH and I must say: John MaverickMcCain has nothin' on my Knight in Shining Armor!(Not sure how I landed here --- but. . . great blog and as a Hoosier native, I must bookmark you so to return.)...Horse names: GOOD ONE! My Siberian Husky's chew toy is named Bill Clinton. The cat's chew toy is Nancy Pelosi. Great Minds. . . .OK... DH went to kitchen for jerky (Mavericky..... oHHH YEA! Forty years ago, I was 4!
Canadian politicians never looked like that, that I know of.
Okay this has nothing to do with this post but I had to come by and share my excitment!! I got a new camera last night so now I can join in on the next, "I see what your saying"!!!! Whoo hooo!! So stinking excited!!
I first realized how handsome John McCain was when I saw video of him in the hospital just after he was released from the POW camp. He was looking good even though he just went through the worst things possible.
Wow, THAT was John McCain??? He was Mavericky!!
Hubba Hubba!! :::wink:::
I had no idea! Wow John!
I think I just developed a John McCain 40 years ago crush too...oh, and my bub is totally developing a crush from Gov Palin
