Ohhhh, I'm not one to complain, but I need to complain. Because everyone knows when you're sick, if you complain it helps you feel better, which is very important, even if it makes everyone else around you feel worse. It's a bad cold, the kind that is threatening my lungs.
So I don't have much energy or coherency, which might compromise the quality of this post. Now I know what will happen as a direct result of that remark: someone will inevitably say, "Great post, Lid; in fact, this is a step up from the lists you've been posting lately."
Even my closest IRL friends have been asking "What's up" concerning my posts of late. The answer is, "I'm not," as in "I'm not up to it." I'm a blogging slug. I should change that picture up in the header to a slug holding a cup of coffee.
Anyway, as we are wont to do when we are ill, I keep taking cat naps. Today I dreamed that I was playing horse racing on Facebook (don't ask) when I suddenly realized that all the little cartoon horses were dark brown. And then I realized, O happy day, that they were all made of chocolate. So I picked one up off of the computer screen and started to gulp him down when someone said, "You can't eat those. They have batteries inside; that's how they run across your screen."
Must be the Nyquil.
So I have a neat story to tell you and a giveaway to do for Valentine's Day, but I'll wait until I feel better. In the meantime, I'll be watching TCM and hankering for chocolate horses. Maybe National Velvet will be on.

You are hilarious! I can't believe you even managed to find a picture of chocolate horses!
And your dream was because you have a bad cold and it's making you horse!!
Did I tell you about the 6 foot chocolate Christmas tree we saw in New York? We studied it for a minute and I was all set to break off a branch and have a taste when my husband pointed out it was a real live tree. Dipped in chocolate. I wasn't even on Nyquil which I agree brings out the crazy. But then sometimes so does chocolate.
Feel better soon!
You just keep right on sippin' that Nyquil, Honey, if it makes you feel better. Or you could switch to Margarita's - they taste better and do about the same for you! Just an idea.
If it's chocolate I bet I could eat it batteries included. lol
Hope you feel better soon,
sorry you're feeling 'down in the dumps' ... maybe someone will send you the choco horses for real! that'd be pretty cool
Hmmm..chocolate horses. Maybe you're on to something there?
Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Susan
Cut back on the nyquil! (*wink*)
Hope you are feeling better soon. I recently had a dream in which the M&M characters were shooting a commercial on my front porch. Chocolate is ubiquitous.
now I remember... I truly missed your humor....
great to be back...

You could always change your motto to "I dream in chocolate!"
Get plenty of rest. And I'm sure a little extra chocolate won't hurt. :)
So sorry you don't feel well. I think you should eat some chocolate. "They" say it's good for you... really!
Hope you're well soon!
Oh those Nyquil induced dreams are the best. :) I have a book giveaway going at my blog for Valentines Day. I'll enter yours, you enter mine. LOL

I saw your post title (chocolate horses) and rushed right over! Loved your Nyquil dream...if only we could eat chocolate right off our laptop screens. Almost makes me want to grab the nyquil and take a nap! ;P
Chocolate horses sound just fine to me. I'll take chocolate any way I get get it.
Feel better.
chocolate horsey dreams! Hope they stayed out of the sun!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling good AND it's the weekend. *sigh* Hope you feel better soon, Linda! ((HUGS))
Isn't it like so crazy the wacky dreams that we can have? Just crazy! Loved hearing about yours! :-)
That Nyquil will do it to ya everytime.
Hope you feel better soon!
Definitely the Nyquil. LOL
I'm sorry you're feeling bad. Nothing like sipping Nyquil and dreaming of chocolate. I am in the same boat today with a bronchial infection. Let me know if you find any good movies on. Otherwise, it's an HG marathon. Feel better soon! Love, A
