Project 365 Vol. 1

January 1-4, 2009

Well, off we go!

How did you do at capturing your first week of January, 2009? I thought it was fun. I am determined to have fun with this and not care how mundane or goofy the photos are. Thus, January 2 is "breakfast" and yes, I'm wearing our Christmas tree skirt in the last one as I dismantle our tree. Who could resist? Doesn't it scream "Feliz Navidad?"

At the end of 2009, my goal is to see a snippet from each day, some little thing, like picking up my daughter from the high school, or a staff meeting at church, or a certain puppy doin' the cuteness that would have otherwise been lost forever. You and my children may be bored to tears with Sunday's offerings, but it will mean something to me at the end of the year, I know.

So here is my first foray into Project 365. Please click on the button above to go visit our host, Sara.

I still think this is a cool idea. I just know I would obsess over it so I'm not doing it yet but I did write it in my list of things I may do one day.

Love the tree skirt. Makes a nice fashion statement. I also had to laugh at the Starbucks photo. They look so happy to see you brought your camera along. LOL

Loved the slide show! Jorge in his recliner cracks me up, especially knowing now that's his "man cave" space.
I'm glad you explained about the tree skirt; I would have thought you'd picked up a Mexican poncho or something.
Good thing I was eating or that skillet of eggs and other yummy goodness would have made me hungry! (I'm having yogurt, granola and PEACHES -- surprise! hahaha)
But where is January 3rd?

What fun! I love your tree skirt... maybe you should just keep it out all year to wear - quite the statement! The lights are a great accessory around your arm, but it would be hard to maintain, so maybe not continue the use of them!
Blessings!

The tree skirt cape pic is funny. Every year when draping the tree with it or putting it up, I feel like I need to take on scarlett ohara's accent and adorn myself with it! hehe

What a neat idea. I've been off the radar through the holidays because we've been remodeling my husbands church. So as I looked at your pictures I thought - wow, what a good idea, but I've already missed the first four days. Then I remembered we've been taking pictures all week of us working on that remodeling project - so I should be good to go! Thanks.

Hmmm, so we only get to see the eggs raw and not charred?! ;-)

Silly me, I was expecting you to have on the tree skirt like a skirt.

Fun pics. I'd so love to do it, but it would make me crazy.

Why do you people torture me with food! Rachel had cinnamon rolls, Sara breakfast & Red Velvet cake, of course I posted a cupcake. Now you post breakfast. It's killing me. I feel like I'm Survivor and everyone else gets to eat these yummy things and I'm left to eat bugs! Okay, I AM being dramatic here...but it's tough to see the yumminess and not say "I want THAT!"
Love the tree skirt, I mean shawl, way cute!

I would have thought that the tree skirt was a round poncho had you not told me.

And I agree with my sister; your eggs are a little underdone for my taste. :-) hee hee

Happy 365!

Very good. My daughter put on our christmas tree skirt (as a skirt) and danced around it as we took down our tree. Must just be something that needs doing. Or great minds think alike.

Even though the holidays deterred me from my blog reading, I've enjoyed catching up. I'm excited about this photo challenge and used your create your own button thingy to put my photos in a slideshow. This blog is so fun AND informative!
Happy New Year!

Your Saturday at Starbucks reminded me of Saturday mornings with my dad when I was about 14. We would go to Winchell's Donuts together.

Breakfast looks good. I may be there in the morning. :)

Love the daily pictures! And what a great idea to put them in a slideshow!

I only like scrambled eggs so the egg picture freaks me out! I have heard that dice game is fun.

You did a great job! I especially enjoyed the tree-skirt adornment. I need to get that Farkle game, I hear it's a lot of fun!

I love your snippets...I especially enjoyed your "progress" in putting the Christmas tree away. ;-)

Great start to this "project".

BTW, what's Farkle?

Tammy said...

Oh wow...hadn't had a chance to stop by in awhile and looks how much I missed! Fun idea! Love all the casual pictures...
We took SO many pictures over Christmas that the only picture we've taken so far this year was right after midnight on New Year's Eve...(on my blog)...

I must say...you and I are about the same age and girl, we're both looking young, I must say! :D
