Friday's Fave Five: Zoe Gets a New Bed and Toy--Giveaway!

Go see Susanne at Living to Tell the Storyfor the complete list!

1. The new toy. The princess bed fell apart, so we had to get another bed. This one came with a squeaky toy, so you can imagine the elation. But just in case you can't, there is a 30 second silent video of her playing with it that cracks me up. In her frenzy she throws it up onto the sofa where my daughters are lounging, reading and doing homework. I don't know what all the blue circles are on the video, unless they're her little angelic auras floating around her.

2. Starbuck's Cinnamon Dolce Syrup. My friend told me how to make an Apple Spice drink with this, and I am in heaven. This is the face of someone hopped up on Cinnamon Dolce.

3. Facebook. I'm still reconnecting with old high school friends, and it's a lot of fun. I "trained" my blog to jump right over and post on FB every time I post here. If you're on and we're not friends yet, friend me! Oh, yes, and Jorge finally jumped on board the book of faces, too. He is a loose cannon. Our kids are shaking in their boots.

4. Apron Giveaway! This is the first action shot I've ever taken of myself. Niiiice. Anyway, a friend at church makes these adorable aprons and donates the proceeds to a goodwill venture in Kazakhstan, where I have traveled twice. I'm giving this one away because it's so darn cute with its coffee theme and all! How can you win? Tune in Monday!

5. Song parody of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." I know it's not really a funny topic. I know that disease is really nothing to laugh at. And I'm a little concerned for my college student regarding H1N1. But I am a sucker for song parodies, and this is pretty cute and clever. It starts slow and goes on about three minutes too long, but my favorite line is "Don't blame me; I'm your little buddy." You might enjoy a couple of minutes of it, or your kids might. Or you might never come back here.

At any rate, go see Susanne, have a great weekend, and come back Monday to see how to win the apron!

Great Five! The doggie bed is the cutest! My puppy is in need of a new one (or two) soon!

Love the puppy. That squeaky toy will not terrorize the house while Zoe is on the job!

I have my blog trained to post automatically on Twitter. Don't know how to do that for Facebook.

The Swine Flu song ... there are no words.

I also mentioned Starbucks in my Fave Five list. Different flavor. Too funny!

Don't ever tell me where you live or I might come steal your dog. Oh my word, she is the most precious thing! Every time I see her, I miss my little Yorkie. Sniff, sniff. Is Zoe ever going to have puppies?

Great idea on the blog training thing. I'll have to see if I can figure that one out.

Great list! Yummy, will have to check out the starbucks syrup.

And the doggie? Toooo cute!! Our fuzzy friend received a new bed this week too. It amazes me how excited they can get over a bed. Of course, if I got a new bed set, I too might jump in circles!!

Ok a color coordinated doggy bead and bone???? You are definately over the edge. Did I spell that right?

I loved the video. I am going to go to the site and send copies to everyone who needs a good laugh today.

I noticed that Zoe has an agressive side. Did he get that from you? :)

Mercy, how can so much energy be packed in such a little body like Zoe's?!

Kim said...

Will you be my friend? I just asked you on Facebook?

sara said...

Linda, how do you get your blog to post on Facebook?

My puppy has had a few squeaky toys but he is so rough on them that they only last for a few day and then the peace is restored, until we stupidly buy him another one!

Blessings

Headed now to watch the pig parody. We have to laugh at some point!
Now you have to share the apple spice drink recipe.

Looks like Zoe isn't about to let go of her new toy. I had to laugh that in every picture she is clinging tight to it.

The Cinnamon Dolce syrup is so good! I love it in Lattes. They also have pumpkin spice right now which is so delicious!

Love the video and it is exactly what my facebook friend, who is a hog farmer, says is true. Pigs didn't start the swine flu. I believe it.

So how did you "train" your blog to post on fb? I'd like to know.

Cute apron and that dog is the bomb!

I got hooked on Starbucks Sugar Free non fat cinnamon dolce lattes...so I went out and bought me a big old bottle of the sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup and a new bean grinder the day before I was told that I have fibroids and to never drink caffiene again...

Well slap me naked and call me Wanda...I was crushed.

I still miss it sometimes...one tear.

Great Favorite Five!!

Amy

Your Zoe certainly killed that bone! Great hunter! If she were a cat, I'd have said there was catnip in that thing.

Love the apron! K-stan? Check out Steppe Sister on my blog sidebar. She's a very dear friend of mine.

I tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte this week. It was just ok. I wanted more PUMPKIN flavor :)

Have a great weekend.

Hi I found your blog via Suzanne's FFF and had to stop by and say hi. I've never met anyone who has been to Kazakstan beside me. I spent 8 weeks there in 1997 with YWAM. Do you have any posts about your experiences there?
