Birfday Request

It's my birthday, so in the words of Van Halen, "Might as well JUMP!"

Actually, I'm trying out my new compression socks that came in the mail Saturday. They are supposed to hold my calf muscles in place to avoid re-injuring my injury. Pretty sad when you are so old that you need surgical socks to hold your muscles together!!

Where was I?

Yeah, it's mah birfday; it's mah birfday.

I don't usually ask for gifts on my birthday, but I'd like to today: Will you send me a question that you would like to see on this week's Random Dozen list???

It would be simply grand if I didn't have to

so hard on my birthday.

Cause I'm too busy wearing my NEW RED SHOES which I purchased this weekend on a shopping trip with my Girls Group--woo2thehoo!!

It's not the first time I've done red shoes. Those of you who read here often have seen THIS photo once or twice:

Yikes, I promise not to wear white hose with these new ones.

In two years, I'll be eligible for the Red Hat Society, but until then, I'll just be rockin' these ruby slippers!

OK, so please make my birthday a happy, carefree one by submitting those questions in your comments here! Thanks!!!

My question: "If you had a "theme song" that played whenever you walk into a room full of people, what would it be?"

Happy Birthday! How you have a smooth super-cafe-latte!

Have an AMAZING birthday (I'm eligible for the red hat society next year roun about this time)...as for the question...in light of your new ruby slippers: which shoes do you now own that are your absolute favorites and why? And which ones in your closet are the factor in your heaviest shoe buyer's remorse?

I looooooove your red shoes. I have a special place in my heart for shoes and red in particular. The compression hose? Not so much. LOL.

Happy, happy birthday to you, Linda! May you have an absolutely enjoyable day with everything you love included into it.

Question: Tell about your favorite birthday celebration that you've personally had.

Happy Birthday and let me first say that I LOVE the shoes!!! They would go great with my new animal printed jacket I just bought!! LOL

Ok.... so.... a question for the Random Dozen.... Ok... how about this:
If you were a flavor of ice cream, what flavor would you be??

Have a great day!! :)

I'm on my way to the dentist (Yuk!) but I must comment on the red shoes...Love them! I remember the days of white hose too (oh dear).

I think I may have joined the red hat club last month...is it a number that starts with 5 and ends with 0? Frankly I think hitting 30 was the hardest. 40 and 50 haven't been nearly as distressing (other than the body falling apart I mean). Anyway-Happy Birthday! I'll come back post dentist with a question. I do love Men Are Dumbs ? and am going to give that one some thought!

Ohmygoodness! Those shoes are fabulous...you are ROCKIN' them!

I'm fairly new to the Random Dozen, so I don't know if my question has already been asked. OK, so I'll give you two suggestions.

Since I just did a post about Steve McQueen, this comes to me:

"Have you ever had a crush on a movie star? Who was it, and are you still crushing?"

If that's already been used, here's another...

"If your childbearing days are over--if you had had another baby, what would you have named it? If your childbearing days are NOT over, what names are you liking for your future children?"

Feel free to use both!

Have an amazing birthday, dear beautiful cyber-friend!

Love the red shoes, although I wouldn't wear them with the compression hose. : ) Happy birthday, Linda!

Here's my question and it's a dumb one, so I won't feel bad if it's not included: Glasses or braces? If you had to wear one, which would it be?

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!

Question: If you could live anywhere in the world you wanted, where would it be?

until next time... nel

Happy Birthday!!!!!
I hate the color red, but love the shoes.
A question that's hard because you've had so many good ones.
Thinking birthday but I'm pretty sure you've had one about how a cake should be decorated.
If money wasn't an option, what would be the perfect birthday gift you would like to receive?

Happy birthday! You look wonderful! My question: What is your favorite birthday meal?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
I had one yesterday.

Do you still send out hand written thank you notes?

Happy Birthday Dear Lid, Happy Birthday to you!

Love the red shoes. Click your heels together and maybe you'll have the random questions!

My suggested questions:
What kind of toothpaste do you use?

Sunrise or sunset?

What is something you've done that you thought you would never do?

You can invite four (or whatever # you like) 'famous' people to a dinner party...who would they be? They must be living. And 'famous' can be used loosely.

What were you doing 10 years ago?

Share one favorite photo and the story behind it.

What's your favorite word?

Happy birfday!! I hope you have a fantastic day -- wearing fabulous shoes like those, I'm sure you will!

Mount Rushmore honors four U.S. presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. If you could add any person to Mount Rushmore, who would you add and why?

And I WILL feel bad if it's not included. ;o) HA

There is just something about red shoes. Love yours!
Question? I dunno. Maybe "If you could come back as an animal, what would you be?"

Happy Birthday! My question: What is the funkiest article of clothing you have ever bought and then worn in public? Post a picture if you have one please! (Halloween costumes don't count.)

Hope you had a great birthday! Love the red shoes, too. No suggestions for questions...sorry!

Put me in the red shoes fan club, too.

I had a pair of drop-dead gorgeous red shoes on my feet in Shoe Carnival about 3 years ago; they were fierce, they were real patent leather and they weren't so high I couldn't wear them.

And I had a sudden attack of fiscal responsibility and did NOT buy them that night.

The next time I was in the store, they were gone without a trace. I still mourn the red shoes that got away.

So...here's my question: What have you NOT bought and later wished you did?
