The Last Christian Woman in America Who Has Not Done a Beth Moore Bible Study

I am she. The Lone Wolf of Beth Moore Bible studies. I've seen her once or twice on TV, but I have missed the studies our church has sponsored.

So will someone please tell me what is going on in August in San Antonio since every blogger I love seems to be either living there or headed there? Is San Antonio the blogger's mecca? Should I turn my computer desk to face San Antonio?

And while I'm at it, I'm considering going to She Speaks in June. Is anyone else attending?

Wanna sit by me? I promise I won't take notes on you.

No, Linda, you're not the only woman who hasn't done a Beth Moore Bible study...I'm with you! Our church has never done one, and when other local churches have, I haven't been able to take advantage of it. My mom and my sisters and nieces have taken part, and gotten so much out of them. It has really been life-changing for my older sister!

CONGRATULATIONS! on the writing contest, I can see that it runs in the family! I adore the photo of the little note taker, perhaps using paper next time would be adviseable, haha!

I haven't done any of these either. Hmmm...what IS going on in San Antonio? That could be a fun place to meet up with a bunch of people!

Hope you are well.

Make that next to last. :) I've never done one either. I've heard mostly good things about her but have heard a couple of people that don't like her style or approach. That would probably be true with anybody.

LOL at the notetaker. :)

You are not alone! I've never read a book, been to a conference, done a study or even heard her speak on tv, so you're even ahead of me there.

1st of all, congratulations on the writing contest! I loved your article!!!
I've done Beth studies & they are really life changing. My husband & I are doing one together right now called Beloved Disciple about the disciple John. Amazing. I just saw her last year...she's an incredible speaker. Not sure about SA...maybe a live taping or something.
I'm planning on going to She Speaks, Lord willing and I'd love to sit by you!! :)

I haven't done one yet either. They are often offered and I hear they are wonderful. I've just always chosen the Bible study given at the same time as the Beth Moore ones. I took a walk-through of the Old Testament which was incredible. It took a whole year. Then we read a chronological Bible for the following year. I learned SO much! And reading chronologically changed my whole look on reading the Bible. It made more sense and felt like I was reading a novel in which every bit of the story was true. I loved it.

We're still looking for a home church here and Beth Moore is offered at the ones we've looked at. I'll get in on one soon.

How funny -it reminds me of the time I went to a Women's Leadership Conference alone. I joined a group of ladies at their table - they were all talking about their Beth Moore study. I asked quite innocently, "Who's Beth Moore?" No kidding - they all put down their silverware and looked at me like I had just announced I was from Venus. They took pity on me and rushed me to the book table and stocked me up on Beth Moore studies. Our church has done several since then!

To answer the question about San Antonio: Beth has designated the San Antonio Living Proof Life Conference as a meet-up for the "siestas" who follow her blog.

Here's her original post on the subject, but I'm not sure if the video link still works.

Linda, these is the first time she is coming to san antonio,tx I don't now why she pick SA,TX but I am glad!! Her studies are really good and you must do one I promise you you will love it! I would suggest the New one "step up" or Daniel "or " The Patriarchs" those ones I have gotten the most of,you can also buy the CD's and the book on your own and listen in you car while you are driving I did with Daniel" I still have the CD's form Daniel" however you are missing out on the tape b/c she has so much humor and deth that you can see,if you can try and take one study at night or set in on one. You won't be sorry you did they are great,of course there are always some peolpe who will not like her style everyone is different, but I am looking forward to see her and meeting if I can most of the bloggers that are coming out here.go to her web site and it well take you to her blog its call LMP last I look ther was 2,250.00 people posting that are going from all over the work south america the UK! Go check it out ! it will Blow you socks off!!.marina

Beth Moore is wonderful. You have to do one of her studies the second you get a chance. Start a small group with some friends!

You are way too cool to not have done a Beth study. Seriously. That is the ONLY thing holding you back from Ultimate Coolness. Right now, you are Penultimate Coolness.

Congratulations for the honorable mention for your article! Great job!

I've done a few Beth Moore studies and I'm with a group studying Beth's newest study called Stepping Up. Beth is having a Lifeway and/or Living Proof Event in San Antonio, Texas in August.

For details you can visit either
or Beth's Blog Post.

I hope this helps.

Blessings in Christ--

Hi Again,

I would LOVE to go to the She Speaks conference. I'm not sure if it can happen this year, though. It would be great to meet you there if it works out for both of us to go! ~Carol

I had to giggle at the part about facing your computer towards San Antonio. I'd say you at least need to face it towards Texas because there sure are A LOT of bloggers from there!

It's the Siesta Fiesta. A meeting of LPM (Living Proof Ministry) blog readers. Unfortunately I'm not going to get to attend. Too far to travel and in August right when school starts. I'm so bummed!

I love that picture. Poor baby!

I think you already know by now what the whole San Antonio thing is. Can't wait!

I'm praying about going to She Speaks, too. If it works out, I'll call you and we can decide what we'll wear. K?

You're too funny and congratulations on Proverbs 31-I liked your article best! I love Beth and you are missing out! She's an anointed teacher. It doesn't hurt that I have the privilege of seeing her in person with her studies here in Houston. The Holy Spirit moves in sweet ways. I'd love to go in June to She Speaks but not sure what the summer holds yet...hugs, annie

Linda, I love your posting and the humor in it. I am glad you can make us laugh. We all need that. Life can be pretty darn serious...I am grateful that you bring humor.

Also, it's OK that you are the last Christian/American woman to do a Beth Moore Bible study. I think I was the last Christian/American woman to get on an airplane at 47 YEARS OLD. Everyone looked at me like I had a 3rd eye or something.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am new to blogging world. I am enjoying meeting new friends.
