Diane

This is my beautiful friend, Diane, who I told you about before ... she has cancer, unknown primary (CUP) which is tough to fight when the docs can't figure out where it originated. She has had three rounds of chemo, and is "in this to win this!" Today we're having a fund-raising hog roast at church for her. I'll post pics later.

Pray for Diane--you've never met a sweeter heart. She loves Jesus and her husband and kids a lot. Look at those kids: they're movie-star cute!

Lots of people you don't even know will say a prayer for you right now Diane! Christian Blogger Moms Unite!

Heavenly Father, thank you for releasing your power into Diane's life right now. Thank you that she is covered in the blood of Jesus. Father I pray that you would manifest your healing in Diane this day. Lord, this looks insurmountable, but you are the God of the impossible. I pray that you would fill Diane with determination and tenacity to fight this battle. Father empower her with you word. Empower her with life on her tongue. Give her family what they need to speak life over her. God, heal this servant of yours, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Lord, we ask that You touch Diane's body with Your healing hand. You are the Great Physician. Give the doctors wisdom and discernment in treating her, and guide them to the cause of her cancer. Provide comfort and strength to Diane, her husband, and her kids. Thank You for surrounding her with loving friends on this journey. We ask that You be lifted up and glorified in this situation and that all who meet Diane will know that she has been touched by You. We ask this because of Your Son's Name, Amen.

Diane,
Colon cancer hit me at the age of 40...i had gone in for a simple "physical". Thanks to aggressvie doctors that took thorough histories, they were able to do testing for me when my hemocults came back positive. It saved my life...my dad died at the early age of 63 from lung cancer, which was in reality secondary colon cancer. My cousin, who is 35, has it in stage 3 and is currently fighting with chemo. Now that we have 3 generations of it in our family, my daughter will be watched very closely, very early.

Lord, wrap your spirit around Diane her family, reminding them of your PROMISES as they endure, providing them rest and healing. Guide her doctors and specialists to pinpoint anything they can to zero in on her treatment. In our struggles you never leave our sides...let Diane know and she you EVERY day as she is in her valley, then in your grace bring her to the mountaintop to tell all the people around her what the Lord has done for her!
YSIC,

Jer. 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable thing you do not know.

My heart goes out to Diane and I will pray for God's will to be done in her situation.

Do you think the more people we have praying, the better chance we have of God healing her? If so, I hope that lots of people are praying!!

I have placed her on my prayer list. God is bigger than cancer and I'm praying that she is healed soon and she has no side effects from the treatments. She's such a pretty person and I'm sure her heart is just as beautiful. Can't wait to see the pics. Hope all went well.

I love Bloggyland for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest is the way we can share our burdens and know others around the country (and world!) will be praying. Trust that the hog roast was a rousing success!

Diane is blessed to have you as a friend, Linda. You tell her for us that she is being lifted before the Throne of Grace and Healing tonight. I continue to pray for her. She might think it was crazy, but when she's at MDA, I'd be happy to sit with her or run her errands or bring her food. If she's your friend, she's mine. Bless you in this journey of a thousand steps also. Love, Annette

As we were just talking about the Willoughvale Inn (Robert Frost's chair), the wife of the friends that went with us is a cancer survivor. When she was declared "clean" by her doctors, they called us on our vacation over five years ago to celebrate. They flew down to meet us. Since then we have all embraced life with a new zeal and started taking short trips together, including that one, and working to check off those things that we want to do before we die. Her cancer reminded us the tenuious hold we all have on life. The exuberance with which she fought this awful foe was inspiring.

I hope and pray that your friend embraces life the way my friend did. I hope that you can enjoy many, many years of continued frienship. And may we all find a way to end the scourage on our society.

Lord God, I ask that you hear your children's pray for Diane and her family. Saturate them with peace, envelope them with hope and cover them with love. We approach your throne as your beloved children and boldly ask that you heal Diane. Just take this cancer away from her at this time, Father. Surround her with family and friends who love her and give them all strength.
We love you, Jesus.

Praying for Dianne and her family! It always amazes me how God can knit the hearts of women together who have never even met each other, and that they can lift each other and their families and friends before the Lord when need arises. I pray God moves mightily on Dianne and her family's behalf!

It just doesn't seem possible or fair that someone that lovely could have cancer. I know this sounds bad but sometimes this kind of thing gets me down and I wish these kind of illness on bad people. I am so sorry Diane but on a brighter note, I will say a prayer for you and I have seem miracles happen.

O Lord, Almight God, Comforter, Counselor, Abba Father - You are the Great Physician. You know all things. You love your children with an everlasting love. You know exactly where this cancer is and how it originated. Place the tip of your finger on that very spot and cause the cancer to stop. Bring complete healing to Diane and let this family be undeniably aware of your very presence. In Christ -
