One of the Best Dances I've Ever Seen

One minute and 32 seconds of pure entertainment! This is from "So You Think You Can Dance," which my dancer-daughters never miss. I cannot get over the cleverness of this dance, the dancers' precision and expression, esp. the female. At times the choreography draws directly from animation, then there are Michael Jackson moments, and then there's just the element of surprise, as in "what's next?" I have watched this over and over.

I love this show and watch it every Wednesday and Thursday along with my hubby. I think it's so much better than Dancing with the Stars. I loved this number too. So glad to find someone else who loves it.

That was cool. The stairs made me nervous. I'm always afraid they are going to fall. I know you would have warned us, but still. Just me. LOL.

I saw that Michael Jacksonesque dancing. Reminded me of him & Janet's video - "Scream"

My daughters never miss it either. One question - do the dancers choreograph their own dances or does someone do it for them? Any idea? Well, no matter, who ever did it for this dance did an amazing job!!

Wow, Lidna. You sound like the Paula Abdul of the dance world. I would have never thought to look at the dancers' precision...LOL.

I loved this dance too. Wade Robson is an amazing choreographer. This was my favorite couple. The didn't have one misstep together. Too bad they're all split up now. I hope they make the final two. That would be fun.

My two favorite dances from last year have both been nominated for emmy's. Your daughter who does hip hop would probably love this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpidlkuIACY&feature=related

That was really cute. I wish I could move like that (sigh). Thanks for showing us that... I never did get into that show (one of the few this reality tv junkie hasn't!)

My husband was just saying, "It is amazing, with all these types of shows, it is amazing how many truly talented people there are out there." And I might add, aren't we lucky to live in a country where we have the time to explore and the freedom to express them. Thnx for sharing. I had not seen this. Very cool.

Loved this! I really appreciate this kind of artistic expression. I'm an old ballerina from way back when (like waaayyyy back when I was 3). The love of dance never really leaves you, except now I'd be like a hippo in a tutu. My, how times have changed.

Agreed. And the female is so much more personal and expressive. Thanks for sharing!!

Are you kidding me, Lid? (LOL) I JUST added this song to my blog playlist about an hour or so ago. I keep watching this dance over and over as well. LOVE IT. Come visit my blog. It's looking quite spiffy. As is yours! I LOVE the new design. I haven't been reading blogs for a while and haven't seen yours lately. Good job! I've missed you.

That was one of my favorite routines of the night for sure. Wade rocks at choreography. He is my favorite other than Mia.
